Our 65-year-old client was recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s. He needed assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming but about remaining in his home. We were able to prepare a gifting strategy under which he gifted enough of his available assets to qualify for ALTCS and guided him through a penalty period, during which he paid privately for care. Then he rolled seamlessly onto ALTCS when his penalty expired.
