When the realization comes that you are in serious trouble as to your debt and that there likely isn’t an easy way out, most will begin try and obtain as much bankruptcy information as possible before meeting with a bankruptcy attorney.  As you make the decision to file for bankruptcy it is important that you get information on bankruptcy from reliable sources.  Undoubtedly there will be a family member or friend who has gone through the bankruptcy process who will tell you everything they believe you need to know.  They may even tell you to try going through the bankruptcy process on your own.  The problem is you may be getting bad advice which could really cost you in the end.  Further, even if you don’t hire me, hire a bankruptcy attorney to help you with your bankruptcy.  There are a lot of pit falls in the bankruptcy process that can be really costly for the uninformed/unprepared.

The Arizona Bankruptcy Court’s website has a “Debtor Help Page” that will give you information on the bankruptcy court and some general information on the bankruptcy process and some of the requirements.

Arizona Bankruptcy Beat Blog

The very blog you are reading is a good source of information on the bankruptcy process.  I have posted over 100 blogs over the last two years on various topics on what to expect during the bankruptcy process and potential outcomes in your bankruptcy case.

Bankruptcy YouTube Channel

On this bankruptcy YouTube channel there are several videos on the bankruptcy process, including videos on how your bankruptcy case can remove your second mortgage or home equity line of credit through a process called “lien-stripping.”  There are also videos on the differences between Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 bankruptcy.
