Countless people think that they mean the same thing.<\/p>\n<p>However, that is not the case; there is a big difference between the two prison sentences.\u00a0The difference between a life sentence and a natural life sentence is the\u00a0possibility for parole.<\/p>\n<h3>Natural Life Sentence<\/h3>\n<p>According to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.azleg.gov\/ars\/13\/00751.htm\">ARS 13-751 Subsection A Paragraph 2<\/a>, a defendant who is sentenced to natural life is not eligible for commutation, parole, work furlough, work release or release from confinement on any basis.
