Attorney Tim Durkin of JacksonWhite Attorneys at Law is offering the Family Law Bi-Annual Scholarship to honor the importance of higher education. In spite of rising costs to receive a college education, JacksonWhite believes in its value and is proud to support students in their pursuits.
The scholarship provides one $1,000 award to a different student each semester. The deadline for the current scholarship is December 1st, 2017.
The JacksonWhite Personal Injury Law Bi-Annual Scholarship is awarded two times per year. It is not a need-based scholarship. Applicants must:
- Currently attend an accredited college or university in the US
- Be full-time student in undergraduate, graduate or law school programs
- Have a minimum GPA of 2.5
Scholarship Essay Question
According to the American Psychological Society, the divorce rate is 50% nationally while the Center for Disease Control reports that states like Arizona have a divorce rate of 67.24%. With an average divorce attorney costing $250 per hour, Americans are paying substantial sums in order to separate their families and assets. Given the current situation, should prenuptial agreements be a legal prerequisite to get married? Are there ways in which this could be seen as unconstitutional? Explain:
