What Happens When HOA Dues Are Not Paid

QUESTION: In your article last week you said that my HOA is a secured creditor in bankruptcy cases. I understand what you said but I still cannot see how my HOA will get paid because my money will first go to the secured creditor with larger debts like my mortgage lender. What will happen if I do not have enough money to pay off the HOA?
