Aside from providing your name, you do not have to answer any questions if you are arrested by police officers in Arizona. Do not tell the police anything except your name. Anything else you say can be used against you in court. In addition, you should not volunteer any information. You can ask the police for a lawyer right away, and politely repeat this request to any officer that tries to talk to you or ask you questions. Remember – before you answer any questions from police, you should always talk to an Arizona criminal defense attorney first!
