If you are caught intoxicated in public you probably won’t expect to spend too much time in jail. Most likely, it would be just enough time to sober you up or to find someone to pick you up. You can’t be charged with being drunk in public, but you can be charged for being disorderly, or possessing/consuming alcohol as a minor.
It’s a rare case where a judge will incarcerate someone for an alcohol case other than DUI. If you are caught with alcohol under age 18, the MVD can start restricting/suspending your drivers’ license.
