In order to be found guilty of a DUI in Arizona the state must prove beyond a reasonable doubt that you were in actual physical control of the vehicle. This can be shown in a number of different ways including eye witnesses seeing you drive. Sometimes the actual physical control element is demonstrated by having access to the keys or the keys in the ignition.
