Record Expungement in Arizona
In Arizona your attorney can file a motion to clear your arrest record. This motion would also request that each agency to which the arrest record was reported be notified that your record has been cleared. The order also requires that the agency shall not release the arrest record to anyone without prior order of the court. An arrest record can be cleared either by stipulation between the state of Arizona and the defendant or by way of motion to the court. When someone is wrongfully arrested it is important to clean up the arrest record in order to avoid embarrassing or harmful effects of having a public criminal record.
