Scott Potter practices in the areas of real estate law, homeowner’s association law, and commercial litigation.

Bar Admissions: Scott was admitted to the State Bar of Arizona in 2006. He is also licensed to practice for the Supreme Court of Arizona.

Education and Honors: Scott earned his undergraduate degree in finance from Brigham Young University. He then attended the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University and graduated with his J.D. in 2006.  During law school, Scott served as the lead submissions editor for the Brigham Young University Journal of Public Law. He earned top honors in real estate development and computer based legal practice systems.  

Professional Activities and Experience: Scott serves as a staff writer and lecturer for the Homeowners Institute and has experience in both litigation and appellate motion practice. He also currently co-authors an HOA Q&A column for The Arizona Republic. Scott serves on the executive council of the Alternate Dispute Resolution Chapter of the Arizona State Bar as the Young Lawyer Representative. Recently, Scott was involved in successfully defending the property rights of landowners against the City of Tempe in its attempts to condemn property for the Tempe Marketplace. He is also fluent in Russian.
