“Do I really need to hire a lawyer to represent me in my injury claims?” Recently I had the opportunity to represent a professional who had been injured in an accident. Her injury was clearly documented, she followed her treating physician’s counsel, and she was a sympothetic party. Immediately following the accident she and her husband, also a highly capable professional, decided they would “deal with the insurance company” on their own. Long story short, almost two years later they found themselves in a disaster.
